Ormond wetlands got a lot of love Saturday April 24th. While FGH, Coastal Keepers and Steven Gama’s team scoured the beach side, Surfrider, Kirby Subaru, Fausset Printing, Hueneme NJROTC and old and new friends pulled over 1,200 lbs. from old encampments, new trash in the waterway, and decades of trash buried in the reeds on Ormond Island. We cannot thank our volunteers enough, and if we try to name all of them we will surely leave some out. But, our cover goes to Andre and his son who turned Surfrider’s attention to Ormond. Thank you at ALL of the volunteers who came out on Saturday to clean up Ormond Island from Perkins Road. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved in cleanups, coming soon!
