Bruce Holley from Kirby Subaru of Ventura brought more socks and blankets for continued distribution at The River Community Church in Ventura. Kirby Subaru has also donated to our Food Drive which allows us to buy food in bulk for those many families living on less than a paycheck or maybe unemployed. They can feed up to 700 people on any given Monday.
During Bruce’s last visit, he brought bars of soap and traveling soap containers. Our community in-need was so grateful for this small gesture. Is soap expensive, no, however many times it is the small things that make the biggest impression.
When asked why the soap Bruce, he responded, ” I have no idea where many of these people are bathing or how often, I thought having some hygiene products close at hand could boost their confidence. My heart smiled when I saw how happy they were for this small gesture.”
