Kirby Subaru Donates New Lift Table to HSVC – Humane Society of Ventura County

The entire Humane Society of Ventura County team would like to thank Kirby Subaru and Subaru Loves Pets for generously donating a brand new surgical lift table to our shelter! This new table will help us to provide essential procedures for animals in need throughout our community. Thank you, Kirby!

Bruce Holley of Kirby Subaru was on hand to present a check in the amount of $2000 to staff members at the shelter in Ojai on Thursday. Eric Knight, Executive Director of HSVC, stated, “The Board, staff, volunteers, and animals at the HSVC are grateful for the continued support of Kirby Subaru. Bruce Holley and the entire team at Kirby go above and beyond in the actions they take to support our shelter in achieving its mission and increasing the positive impact we make in our community. Kirby Subaru makes a difference, and we’re thankful for all that they do!” said Knight.

As a private nonprofit, our shelter relies solely on donations and corporate sponsorships. We cannot express how grateful we are to have such dedicated partners like Bruce Holley and Kirby Subaru. They have been steadfast in providing support through their Subaru Loves Pets program and more. In addition, Kirby Subaru has also become one of our most successful hosts for our DoorDash PET program. Through this program, pet food is distributed from the Kirby Subaru dealership and delivered directly by DoorDash to the doorsteps of pet owners in need. Thank you for helping us continue to make a difference in our community, Kirby!

If you would like to donate to support the HSVC or are interested in becoming a corporate partner, please visit hsvc.org/donate or contact Community Outreach Coordinator, Steve McCurry at SteveM@hsvc.org.

Human Society of Ventura County

Subaru Loves Pets Donation

The Human Society of Ventura County is a private, non-profit organization that was founded in 1932.

Investments, events and donations are the only source of income.  Our donations from Kirby Subaru, Subaru Loves Pets Program,  of beds, Shelter kits. toys and snacks will go along way for “The New Adopting Families”.

Prior to the devastating Thomas Fire, here in Ventura County, there were 81 animals at the Ojai Shelter.  During the fires these numbers would grow to over 300 evacuated animals of all kinds and 12 strays. While most of these animals have been returned to their homes or adopted, the Animal Shelter works never stops.

Approximately 95% of contributions are spent on programs and services that directly benefit these animals. Visit www.hsvc.org/donate to help Greg and his amazing team continue their dedication of promoting health, safety, compassionate care, and protection of all animals through education and community outreach programs.
